Bellaire is a village in Belmont County, Ohio, United States. It is part of the Wheeling, West Virginia Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 4,278 at the 2010 census. The village is located along the Ohio River. The Bellaire toll bridge (now abandoned and closed) was filmed in the 1991 motion picture The Silence of the Lambs; its curved railroad viaduct and bridge over the Ohio were featured in the 2010 film Unstoppable.

I was taking pictures at the Severstal Mill (also in the video) then we decided to ride up to the park in Rayland. But, before we got there we spotted a train. It was #3045 and #301. An old Rio Grande and a new one. We follwed the train from Yorkville, Ohio to Benwood,WV, were it interchanges with the CSX. In Bellaire it crosses the Ohio River on the bridge. It is called a "local" because it handles local area freight to and from local area plants, factories, mills, etc. along the Ohio River. The first one I filmed was in Martins Ferry, Ohio on April 10, 2011 @ 12:40pm. The second one, I filmed on April 22, 2011 in Bellaire, Ohio @ 11:58am...and Bridgeport, Ohio @ 12:10pm.
